Samantha Ronson at Karu & Y nightclub in Miami (12/13)

Samantha Ronson is cashing in on Lindsay Lohan. Since she began dating the star, Sam's been able to up her DJ fees from $1,500 to $25,000 a gig. The New York Daily News claims Ronson's netted $3 million+ in the past year alone. An insider "close to the couple" told the paper:

"While Sam never contractually agrees that Lindsay will show up to her shows, promoters, owners and publicists all know that if you book Sam, there's a high likelihood Lindsay will also show. Sam's now asking for a lot more money to spin, and she's getting it easily."

A friend of Ronson's rebutted (doesn't "rebutted" sound like something Sam and Lindsay would do when they get naked):

"Ronson doesn't need Lindsay to make money. She's always had money, and relied more on [famous deejay brother] Mark for getting gigs booked. In fact, Sam made Lindsay hot again!" (Source)

It's nice to know Sam doesn't rely on Lindsay to get employment -- she relies on her brother . . . and her double-jointed tongue. If Lindsay was more like Sam, and had skills above and beyond getting drunk and teasing me with see-through tops, she might not be so desperate for employment. Of course, if Lindsay wasn't the vapid no-talent has-been starlet that she is, Sam wouldn't find herself spinning records at posh nightclubs -- she'd be rotating tires at Sears.
