Vermont State Police say actor Matt Dillon has been cited for speeding on an interstate highway. Dillon was charged with excessive speed after he was pulled over by a trooper on Interstate 91 in Newbury on Tuesday night. The 44-year-old actor was allegedly traveling at a speed of 106 miles per hour. The posted speed limit is 65 miles per hour. Dillon is set to appear in court on Jan. 21. (Source)Wait . . . speeding? No, I agree with you. Going 106, while def not cool, is nothing compared to rape. When I read the headline, I was filled with disgust and loathing. And oftentimes, I just like scanning headlines, not necessarily reading the articles... The reality is that this Matt Dillon dude is guilty of carelessly endangering others, which is plain douchebaggery. Rapists are on another level entirely.
If nothing else, the headline was a poor choice because it wasn't even funny. There's plenty of offensive shit that is funny anyway, but I missed the humor on this one.
