Miley Cyrus is getting paid

A Houston law firm is flying in Miley Cyrus to play at their annual Christmas party. Miley's fee? Between $200k and $500k. Dammit, I knew I should have been a 16-year-old Disney pop star instead of a blogger! The Houston Chronicle says:

Tweendom’s reigning queen is the star performer at the Lanier Law Firm’s “Christmas Cheers and Charity” party. The annual event will be held next month at the ranch home of Houston lawyer Mark Lanier and his wife, Becky.

The family-friendly extravaganza boasts “Texas Bar-B-Q, fajitas and amusements” on the colorful invitation, which includes a pop-up Cyrus sharing the stage with a guitar-wielding Santa and singing elves.

“We do have limited room. We’d love to be able to invite the world, but we can’t,” said Mark Lanier. “We’re excited.” (Source)

Whatever, $500k ain't shit. The last Christmas party I attended, I got both a sexual harassment suit filed against me and syphilis.* Jagermeister and cleaning ladies can be a very dangerous combo.
