For the second time in a little over a year, Sean Penn took a trip down to South America to hang out with America-hating Venezuelan "President" Hugo Chavez. From AP:
U.S. actor Sean Penn is visiting Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez — again. Venezuela's state-run news agency reports that Penn accompanied Chavez during the inspection of a natural gas pipeline on Sunday. Chavez has praised Penn for his criticism of the U.S. war in Iraq, but he did not mention Penn's visit during a televised address. Nor did state media broadcast images of the Oscar-winning actor. It was Penn's second meeting with Chavez. The actor also visited in August 2007, when he went as a freelance journalist. (Source)

For the record the US gives more in foreign aid to poor countries than all other countries combined. I am Vietnamese, and although they had ulterior motives, they fought against our repressive communist government (a government that raped and killed my aunts and uncles for no reason) and many brave soldiers died for us when they didn't even know us. I fought in Iraq - and I'm quite certainly you did not - will never understand how grateful the Iraqis were and are to us. It's easy for you to sit there in your comfortable chair and drag my country through the mud with your bouts of imperialism. You know little about the world you never tried to understand, only the world that you've been taught to know.

this is in response to the comment that "Lew" made about being a product of public education. That's bullshit, I am product of public education just as you are, and I can write and type just fine. The state of public education is just an excuse for your own faults. Just because your teachers didn't do a good job of teaching you, does not mean that you can't spell words right, the blame falls on both sides, you AND the teachers.
About the comments that Sean Penn has made in the past, I 100% agree with everything that he says. Everything that is wrong with this country these days, is caused from "President" Bush. The economy is fucked up, because of Bush. We are losing brave american soldiers each and every day, because of Bush. He has claimed that he feels sorrow for the men and women who are stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan, and yet he keeps the ones that are over there right now over there. He doesn't bring them back, he just sends more and more people over there to fight in HIS war. He didn't have to start this war, he started this war because HE wanted to. And the country is suffering completely because of it. Sean Penn was right in saying that the "President" should be fired and put in prison. Bush shouldn't have even been elected to run a 2nd term in office, but we americans were convinced of his lies. He used to excuse of WMD and what happened on 9/11 to start his war. Bottom line, the "President" needs to step down as our leader and let someone else take over, his time as leader has come and gone.
