Sharon Stone being sued for a billion dollars
On May 12, 2008, a magnitude 8.0 earthquake struck the Sichuan Province of China. Nearly 70,000 Chinese were killed and over 370,000 injured. 18,000 are still missing. When asked about the tragedy two weeks later during the Cannes Film Festival, Sharon Stone naturally said the Chinese people had it coming because of the way their government treats Tibetans:
"Well you know it was very interesting because at first I thought I’m not happy with the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans because I don’t think anyone should be unkind to anyone else. And so I have very concerned about how to . . . think and what to do about that because I don’t . . . like . . . that. And then I’ve been, ya know, I've been concerned about, oh, who should we deal with the Olympics because they're not being nice to the Dalai Lama — who’s a good friend of mine. And then all this earthquake and all this stuff happened and I thought, 'Is that Karma, when you’re not nice and the bad things happen to you?'"
And now she's being sued by a bunch of angry Chinese people for . . . ONE . . . BILLION . . . DOLLARS! No, seriously. From the New York Post:
The bad "karma" keeps rolling for Sharon Stone, as more than 1,000 Chinese earthquake victims and a New York lawyer are demanding a $1 billion pay-out - or maybe just an apology.The "Basic Instinct" star was recently served with legal papers announcing attorney Ming Hai's intention to sue her for harming Chinese people when she suggested the catastrophic quake last May was "karma" for the regime's occupation of Tibet.
"For the families who have lost their loved ones or lost limbs or suffered severe injuries, your . . . statement and act has caused extreme emotional distress," Ming wrote, citing the controversial comments Stone made at the Cannes Film Festival. (Source)
Do these people have no concept of money? One billion dollars sounds like something a kid would say. Did they get a bunch of kids to draw up this lawsuit? Are we sure they're not also suing for a "whole bunch" of candy? Why not just sue her for 1000 unicorns and world peace?

Look. Stone is an idiot. China is the "new" USSR (but with a "friendlier face. does it matter? seriously...does it really frakin' matter...? don't we all have more important thing to deal with...? like...hmmmmm.....maybe our own lives....our own kids....? (i'm just sayin'.....)
Dalai Lama has convinced Richard Gere, Uma Thurman, Harrison Ford, John Ackerly, John Melnicki, Sharon Stone… etc to do his dirty work of fabricating & telling lies about Tibet & Tibetans. Tibet is an autonomous region which is self-ruled by the local residents. There are many ethnic groups living in Tibet such as Lhoba, Moinba, Naxi, NU, Drung, Mongolian, Sherpa, Han, Hui, and Deng.
Over the years China have built many hospitals, schools, colleges, universities, roads, and a railway to carry fresh vegetables, fruits to Lhasa at a bargain price. The Dalai Lama created more troubles for the people in Tibet by making their life miserable & unbearable. Tibetans used to die at a very young age due to drinking very high fat content yak (Tibetan cattle) milk. It was the Han who brought them daily supplies of tea to deal with high fat in their diet.
My precious Karen, it seems you are beyond doubt blinded by the ancient Chinese propaganda machine. Ford, Stone, Melnicki, Ackerly, Thurman’s (both Uma and her father Robert), and Gere are in fact real life patriots in the struggle against this dreadful humanitarian problem. John Ackerly, John Melnicki, Nancy Pelosi, and Richard Gere have exhausted the better part of the last twenty years defending the rights of the Tibetans. For you to presuppose a train shipment of food should justify the daily murdering of these beautiful, helpless people is completely erroneous. This team of guardian angels has only one mission in mind. That is, to let humankind know of this brutality and to get all the nations of the world to help stop China from continuing its dirty deeds.

On November 13, 2008, at the ICT 20th anniversary celebration John Ackerly was witnessed standing with, John Melnicki, Richard Gere, and William C. Triplett II, former chief Republican counsel to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Perhaps Sharon Stone, Brad Pitt, Uma Thurman, and Paris Hilton were keeping the car warm? It seems this cause has plenty of heavy hitters!
Spotted this week! Nancy Pelosi was found having dinner at Black Salt in Washington, DC, with Richard Gere, John Melnicki, and his wife Jill, the newest member of this extremely secretive Tibetan support group. Ackerly must be on vacation in Tibet! The protection people surrounding them seemed similar to that of what the President is afforded. What’s going on? I guess Chinese food was out!
