Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi to marry this weekend
Shortly after the California Supreme Court overturned the state's ban on gay marriage in mid-May, Ellen Degeneres announced on her show that she'd be marrying her long time partner Portia de Rossi. According to Us Weekly, the wedding's going down this weekend in California . . . heh heh heh, I bet that's not the only thing going down this weekend. Ellen recently said on her show:
"Planning a wedding is very stressful. It's crazy. My gardener is now invited." (Source)
Why is it so crazy that your gardener is invited Ellen? It's because he's Mexican, isn't it? You're afraid of having minorities at your wedding. That's it, I'm deleting all my TiVo recordings of The Ellen Degeneres Show.* You brought this upon yourself, you white devil.

I don't care if they get a civil union, I object to the word marriage being used to describe even if it is the same thing, because the word marriage defines the union between a man and women, I don't care if they have the same thing I just don't want the word marriage used to describe it.
The only exception to me supporting them having the same rights as a marriage is having children which I don't think should be allowed. And if it's allowed I don't think they should be allowed to adopt over a straight couple. I could live with that. Gay marriages are allowed kids, but straight couples get preference over them in adoption. Because a lot of gay couples probably would make good parents.
But I'm absolutely concrete on objecting to the word marriage being used to describe their union.
please can we stop now. let them get married if they want to as long as they are forcing preachers to do it i dont care. its america last time i checked.

hey, heres the deal i think ellen is one of the funniest people in the entertainment buisness today...but marriage between the same sex man or woman is a disgrace to god himself...forget everybody else you will have to deal with him...sorry but so true..

Everyone is always talking about how being gay/lesbian is a "disgrace to god," but what makes their sin any worse than others. As an example, people have sex before marriage, which a definite No-No in God's eyes, but you rarely hear anything about that. I understand that it's between a man and a women, but it's still a sin regardless. I'm not saying that their lifestyle is right, but I'm saying that a sin is a sin, so before one passes judgement, they need to look into their own life.

I think Ben has a good point here, the word marriage should only be used when a man and a woman commit theirselfs to eachother.
The term "marriage' is just a work to describe something...Although in the bible it refers to the union between the man and a women.... the bible was written thousands of years ago. GET OVER IT PEOPLE. Give a rest, and get a life. Leave these two people alone and judge your own life...
Hmmm I wonder if you’re as hard on yourselves when you commit a 'sin' as you are on gay people. Love goes beyond sex and our genders...how amazingly narrow minded can you be? It's not that gay people want MARREIGE or to have that title they just want the same rights as everyone else...Your God and my God must be very different people. My God doesn't spread hate and discriminates against anyone...Oh and this isn't directed to Ben, but I have to ask myself what were you doing on this column about Ellen to begin with, does the sanctity of marriage mean that much to you. If so divorce is out of the question.

It's funny that this makes you sick because it's people like you that make me feel sick. I feel sorry for you :( and it's this type of ignorance thats the root of alot of tragedy in this world.
