DMX arrested yet again

DMX was arrested for the fifth time this year on Saturday, this time for giving a false name and Social Security number to get out of paying $7,500 in medical expenses at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. From the Arizona Republic:

In April, the 37-year-old rapper went for treatment at Scottsdale's Mayo Clinic. He stayed nine hours, racking up the $7,500 bill, but provided hospital staff with a false name, "Troy Jones," and a fake Social Security number, Arpaio said.

The rapper also gave a non-existent address in Yonkers, N.Y., and provided false contact information, including the name of a girlfriend, "Jennifer Martinez," and a cellphone number, officials said.

Simmons' Phoenix attorney Charles Kozelka said on Sunday night that Arpaio's involvement in the case and his statement to the media shows he is "out to get Mr. Simmons." Kozelka would not elaborate on what he meant by this but said "we are excited to get the second half of the story out" during the legal process ahead. (Source)

This is just one more example of why this country needs universal healthcare. Because if a multi-millionaire rapper can't afford his own medical bills, how are the rest of us supposed to be able to pay for the penicillin shots that our doctor told us we needed because of that one night when we got drunk and hooked up with that barskank that said she was clean but turned out to be dirtier than Paris Hilton's underwear after Fleet Week? Anyways, my point is: Obama '08!
