Nick Hogan is a piece of shit
As we speak, Nick Hogan is in a Pinellas County, Florida, courtroom facing the music for that little street-racing accident last year that left his friend -- Iraq War veteran John Graziano -- with permanent mental and physical disabilities. Earlier in the morning, Nick plead no contest to a felony charge of reckless driving involving serious bodily injury; his sentence is at the full discretion of the judge. A few highlights of the proceedings via TMZ:
UPDATE 2:14 ET: Prepare for waterworks ... here's the victim's dad, Ed Graziano. He tells the judge about John's decorated service in the Marines. And he says, "What al Qaeda couldn't do to my son, Nick did in a matter of minutes."UPDATE 2:18 ET: And Ed Graziano continues, saying that he spends 10 hours a day at the hospital with John, and that John will spend the rest of his life with mental and physical disabilities. Hulk is peering over at the Graziano family. Ed says that when Nick went to the hospital to see John, he looked totally bored, and even shot dart guns and skateboarded around the hospital! OMG!
UPDATE 2:25 ET: Now up, John's sister Christian Carson. She says that sometimes she tries to call him, and breaks down when she realizes she can't. Tough. And she says that Nick has never apologized for the crash.
UPDATE 2:32 ET: [John Graziano's girlfriend] Ashley says that Nick's license plate COEHSP stands for "Capable of Eluding High Speed Pursuit."
Wow, Nick skateboarded around the hospital while his friend lay dying in bed. What a great guy. I think I'm in the majority here in hoping that part of Nick's sentence involves stripping him naked, handcuffing his wrists to his ankles, and then setting him loose in San Quentin.*

UPDATE: Nick's sentence was just handed down: 8 months in Pinellas County Jail, 5 years probation, 500 hours community service, 3 years suspended license.

NICK IS JUST A STUPID TEEN DOING STUPID TEEN STUFF. I CAN HARDLY IMAGINE THAT HE HELD A GUN TO JOHNS HEAD AND FORCED HIM TO GO FOR THAT RIDE. JOHN CHOSE TO GET IN THE CAR KNOWING WHAT THEY WERE ABOUT TO DO, PROBABLY CHEERING AND ROOTING FOR NICK TO WIN. SADLY TRAGEDIES HAPPEN WHEN YOUNG BOYS FORGET THAT THEY ARE NOT IMMORTAL. LAY OFF THE GUY, HE ALREADY HAS A LIFETIME OF REGRET KNOWING THAT HE HAS RUINED HIS BEST FRIENDS LIFE.
Nick is a stupid, spoiled teen, who doesn't seem to regret his actions. Were it you or I who did this, likely we would have received a 10+ sentence for manslaughter. He deserves much more than the sentence he received.
One of you said 'he already has a lifetime of regret'....he doesn't seem to be regretting anything. Don't be blinded by your awe of celebrity. This kid got much less than he should have for his crime.
He will hopefully get ass-raped every day he is in prison, but even thats not enough for such a piece of shit.

Im actually astounded her even got 8 months! We have people (obviously not celebs) in the UK who have killed people in hit-n-runs and got less!
Granted he didnt kill the guy, but he should still get far longer then 8 f'ing months for doing that. How anyone could argue he wasnt fully aware of the risk and danger he put himself and his passenger in is a moron!
I love the world we live in when celebs can litterally ruin a persons life, render him a vegetable and a cripple and then just get on with their lives after 8 months.

Julie... Nick had a responsibilty as the driver for the care and health of his passenger. It doesnt matter whether the guy got in the car or egged anyone on. Nick is an adult and knew EXACTLY what he was doing.

you guys think he got off easy, a kid from my town was doing that exact same thing except he killed his passenger and he didnt get any jail time, and his friend probably was rooting him on, you all are just being idiots because nick is famous, if it was one of your friends you'd be saying hey his passenger got in the car on his own, im not saying nick should get no jail time, he pled no contest and he could have pled not guilty like the kid in my town but he took responsbility for the mistake he made so lay off
I agree with alias....he is not getting off easy....if you morons did your legal research on similar cases or even worse, you would see that he was actually given a more severe punishment and it was because of his celebrity status. I by no means condone what happened, but he is a kid and John was a more responsible adult and fastening your seatbelt is state law in florida and he did not....most likely would have prevented his injuries...not for sure. I think all of you need to look deep down and put yourself in a similar situation....never in jail etc and you are in solitary confinement....I guarantee that all of you would be feeling the same way....it was a horrible accident...not done with malice!
I just dont think nick or his dad really give a crap about john an the big hole in his skull an how he really no longer has alife. they are too busy thinking about themselves an how they can make more money as that is what seems to make the hogans happy. money an fame an the heck with the Grazianos an their heartbrek every time they see their son John laying there not really being able to chat with him .
