Let's keep in mind... John was not an "innocent" victim that Nick plowed into while speeding. John was a willing participant that chose not to wear a seat belt. I'm not saying he deserves what happened to him, but he is at least partially responsible. After all, the thing that distingushed his fate from Nick's is that Nick was atleast responsible enough to obey the Florida law that requires every occupant of a car to wear a seat belt. John didn't. As you can see there is a reason for that. But again, no one deserves what happened to John and I certainly hope nothing but the best for him and his family.
