The Britney Spears world tour rumors are heating up again. UK tabloid News of the World claims Britney is on the verge of signing a $100 million deal for a comeback tour:
The 26-year-old star is said to be desperate to get back on the road and leave her recent troubles behind her. Sources claim that the Toxic singer has already begun training for the mega-money shows with grueling dance sessions at the Millennium Dance Complex. Spears' record label BMG are confident that she can restore her squeaky-clean image on the road."Things are looking up for Britney," said a source. "She's finally focusing on her career again. There will be no more on-stage blunders. Britney's turned a corner and the world will be amazed with her." (Source)
Why does Britney need to go on tour to leave her "troubles behind"? I thought she left the two of them at K-Fed's house with the babysitter? If Britney really plans on getting back into shape, her "grueling dance sessions" should probably focus more on exercise and less on teaching five-year-olds how to make $20 per song. And if she's adamant about keeping off the pounds, there's only one scientifically proven way to reduce the intake of unwanted calories: spit.

It won't work. Lemme break it down for you. The morans who bought this abomination's music and concert tickets are grown up now. They are in their early-mid-late 20s and only the pathetic ones would actually spend their money on something like this (it used to mommy and daddy's money back in high school so there was no problem). They won't buy more "music" from her or tickets to her concerts. The current batch of preteens/teens have no idea who Britney Spears is aside from being "the crazy chick who shaved her head and used to be a singer or something". They have their own pop idols. Spears is irrelevant.
Sure, you'll get some ticket sales... not as much as you thought, but you'll rationalize that maybe the first 3 or 4 shows have low attendance because the tour needs to "pick up steam" or something. However, by the 6th or 7th show, it's going to be real obvious that the entire venture is a HUGE bust.
The only "entertainment" that anybody will get out of this will the office pools around the country trying to determine what "excuse" her minders will give the press as to why the tour was canceled, how many actual shows before the tour is canceled, etc. etc.
So, in hindsight, please go ahead with this well thought out plan because I wouldn't mind making a few bucks off my coworkers.

yea right is right. just last week I was thinking this is going to fail for britney and her minders. her fans don't like her anymore. they've read too many blogs about the bad things she's been doing. she isn't going to be selling out arenas all over the world on a comeback tour.

Gimme a break! She is getting the mental help she needs, she is working on getting her life back and her boys. Her life was entertaining. If she feels ready and wants to tour, more power to her.
