Everyone, including Alicia Keys, is entitled to espouse whatever opinions they want. This is why she is not being thrown in jail or burned at the stake. But others are just as entitled to criticize and ridicule those opinions, especially in cases such as this in which the the opinions are so incredibly stupid and without a shred of merit.

When I first read about these "theories" that Keys has, I was not surprised in the least. It has always been plainly evident that Alicia is far from bright, and it is highly likey that she doesn't even understand what a theory actually is. There's a huge difference (no pun intended) between a shapely, fit, muscular ass and a fat ass. Black women all seem to take such pride in having a big ass, but the truth is that most are simply fat. Black women are disproportionately obese, and there is NOTHING pretty about that. I do not, as far too many blacks currently do, excuse bad and/or criminal behavior on the basis of historical wrongs... whether actual or perceived. Your apparent inability to understand my straightforward, reasonable argument changes nothing.

And while I'm at it, let me add one thing with regard to the commonly tossed about labels "white" and "black". I am nothing if not a realist, and the reality is that these labels are absurdly simplistic. Every human being's ancestry is a mixed bag, and the further back you're willing to look in your family tree, the more racial diversity you are likely to find. When I describe myself as "white", I do so with the full understanding that the Spanish half of my ancestral tree is chock full of African blood, by virtue of the relatively recent Moorish conquest and occupation of Spain (yes, those were actual dark-skinned Muslim Africans subjugating Europeans for personal gain!). Now I don't have to be a geneticist to see that Alicia Keys has nearly as much European blood running through her veins as I do. And yet based on her words and actions I can only conclude that she either fails to recognize her "whiteness", or simply chooses to ignore it to make herself feel more noble or more entitled. Alicia and other dim wits like her, who are constantly playing the race card for their own benefit, are today almost as much a barrier to racial harmony as were the southern white supremacists during the Jim Crow era.

This brings to mind one of the many reasons I find Tiger Woods to be such an admirable man. Despite constant pressure from the out-dated, entrenched black "leadership" (you know... the usual suspects), Tiger has consistently rejected the notion that he is simply "black", and refuses to ignore the considerable Asian ancestry he inherited from his Thai mother. Then again, Tiger is clearly a man of great intellect, while the overwhelming majority of rap/hip hop "artists" like Keys occupy the other end of the intelligence spectrum.

With regard to my previous statements about fat asses...

Again, "Word" demonstrates that he has difficulty comprehending the English language. Literacy issues? But I will restate my point... Obesity has reached epidemic proportions in America. It is a simple FACT that the majority of Americans of all stripes are obese. The proportion among self-describing blacks is known to be significantly higher. Therefore the statement that most blacks are obese is absolutely true (and easily observable). It follows from logic (and again, simple observation) that most large-assed black women simply have a fat ass. No matter how much false pride they have in their large ass, they are still just fat chicks. I fully recognize that this is a personal taste issue, as GooGoo stated above. If fat asses are your thing, more power to ya buddy. But in my book, a round, firm, muscular ass is attractive... a big fat ass is definitely not. I'm a bi racial woman and refuse to give up any parts of me. I'm white with Scots/French & Somalie heritage. I look mostly black and some might say exotic. I've been close to both sides of my family but won't be around my black relatives as much because they've continued to make it clear I'm not black enough which is equal to not being good enough in their eyes. In order to be more palatable to the black community I have to speak and think in terms of what is acceptable to them.
