The National Enquirer is claiming that Mandy Moore's mom Stacy left her husband to shack up with another woman. The other woman in question is tennis professional Claudette Laliberte. You heard that right. A female professional athlete might be a lesbian. I mean I'd heard the whispers for some time now but I just figured . . . this is a bit hard to take. Entertainmentwise says:

100% true story: I've actually met Mandy Moore's mom and she was a total bitch. Back in 2000 I was a humble production assistant working at the MTV Beach House in San Diego. While cleaning up the green room one morning, Mandy Moore and her mom walk in. Mandy Moore's mom takes a piece of fruit from a bowl on the table and the following conversation ensues:
andy Moore's mom: "Hey you, has this fruit been washed?"
e: "I don't know"
andy Moore's mom: "Go wash it"
Yes she called me "you". Of course I left the room with the fruit bowl, didn't wash it, and then came back five minutes later. So fuck you Mandy Moore's mom. THAT FRUIT WASN'T CLEAN!
