Amy Winehouse's visa denied

Despite being nominated in six categories, troubled British singer Amy Winehouse will not be appearing at the Grammys on Sunday. Her visa application was denied today by the U.S. Embassy in London. In a statement issued today, Amy's publicist said:

"Amy has been progressing well since entering a rehabilitation clinic two weeks ago and although disappointed with the decision has accepted the ruling and will be concentrating on her recovery. There will of course be other opportunities and she very much looks forward to visiting America in the near future." (Source)

I doubt Amy would have shown up anyways. You know how hard it is to get lighters, burned spoons, syringes, rubber tubing, used condoms, and a dead cat past airport security? And that's only the stuff that's stuck in her hair. Imagine what she'd try to smuggle in her bags. "I swear officer, the crack was for personal use only" . . . "But ma'am there's four pounds of it in your bag" . . . "Exactly: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday."
