Roger Avary's mug shot
The Academy Award-winning co-writer of Pulp Fiction, Roger Avary, was arrested on Sunday after killing his friend and injuring his wife in a single car accident . . . which can sometimes happen when you're drunk. The New York Post says:
Andreas Zedini, 34, a friend visiting from Italy, died on the operating table of internal injuries at Ventura County Medical Center after firefighters cut him out of the car, according to police reports. Avary, who has won awards for Killing Zoe, a film his wife also worked on, was booked on felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter charges in Ventura County Jail but posted $50,000 bail. Gretchen, 40, is in stable condition at Ojai Valley Community Hospital. The 42-year-old writer, who lives in Ojai, a small artist-friendly town 90 minutes from L.A., had most recently served as co-writer and executive producer of the movie Beowulf. (Source)
Sounds like Avary should have changed the name of his award winning film from "Killing Zoe" to "Killing my Italian Friend and Crippling my Wife". All kidding aside, there's nothing funny about drinking and driving . . . unless it involves a clown car (aka Britney's Vagina).

Since he has some level of celebrity, he will automatically get a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card. Pay a small fine, maybe a little community service, but probably not.......he'll be back making the big bucks with just a slight slap on the wrist.......
No surpise that he's a killer. It's life imitating art.
i hope he dies of cancer
