Apparently I was wrong about Jessica Simpson's new film Blonde Ambition going straight to DVD. It opened in eight Texas theaters over the weekend and made $1,300, as in dollars, 1,300 dollars. Do the math on that folks:
$1,300/average movie ticket price of $6.58 (source)=198 people who saw the film. 198 people/8 theaters/3 day opening=8 people a day at each theatre that saw the film.
To put into perspective how little the film made, I blew more money this weekend lighting my Cuban cigars and throwing crumpled up twenties at the help. I tend to get a little angry when they disobey me--especially the thing about not speaking unless spoken to. What is this, a circus?

I saw this movie and I got a great discount so I loved the movie and only paid $2.00 on account of I'm retarded.

Daddy Joe Simpson is the producer of this movie, and apparently her next direct to DVD movie Major Movie Star as well. Unfortunately, since he's losing money, we will probably have to see more of Ashlee.
