Chuck Norris is a poor sport

Chuck Norris sues publisher

Remember when I brought you news last month that a book was being published full of "Chuck Norrisisms." We had a gay old time as we sat 'round the campfire recounting our favorite Chuck Norris facts and tales. Turns out Chuck wasn't amused. He's suing the publisher of the book. AP says:

On Friday, Norris sued Penguin Group Inc. and the book's creator, Ian Spector, saying his good image is being spoiled by a book that depicts him as callous and unlawful and which he says includes false "facts" that are sometimes racist and lewd. (Source)

Thank you Chuck Norris for clarifying that your tears do not in fact cure cancer and that you're actually not the second leading cause of death in America behind heart disease. Oh and that picture of Chuck holding the entire world while stepping on a dinosaur's head. That's actually a drawing, not a real photo. Unfortunately I have some bad news for those of you thinking you're gonna pull a fast one over on Chuck. That roundhouse kick of his is 100% real and 99% deadly.*

*there was a guy Chuck kicked at a karate tournament back in '89 who survived. He currently eats through a tube.

The fact that the book writer is making money off it is what Chuck has an issue with, I'll bet. When it was on the Internet and stuff, he was cool with it

im thinking that this mofo should thank his lucky stars that this book is keeping him name out in the pulic domain i mean have you seen reruns of walker texas ranger sheesh

He backed Mike Huckabee for president so he's digging his own grave.

Hi,

For the record, Chuck Norris doesn't need Ian Spector or anyone else to keep his name in the public. He is an American ledgend, an iconic figure if you will. I have looked through the book, and while some of the facts are indeed humorous, much of it is filthy and degrading. Ask yourself how YOU would feel if your name and image was being portrayed in this manner. The fact that Chuck is an American legend is what gives Spector a platform, not the other way around.

If it weren't for Conan O'Brien no one would be talking about Chuck Norris right now. This book is more of a tribute to the Chuck Norris legend that O'Brien created with his Walker Texas Ranger Lever than it is a tribute to Norris himself. As cool as he was, his star has faded and his value is no more than nostalgia at this point. Say hello to Mr. T for us, Chuck!

Norris is has-been 1980's "B" movie actor. Those "facts" made him popular with an entire new generation. He never once thanked that kid. For years Norris used that kid's facts to promote himself on TV shows. Norris is just using this suit to promote himself.
