Lindsay Lohan in Beverly Hills (11/9)

Lindsay Lohan began the community service portion of her sentence at an LA-area Red Cross yesterday. In lieu of two days behind bars for her two DUIs over the summer, the starlet struck a deal with prosecutors to perform ten days of community service (she also has to attend an 18-month alcohol education program and serve three years probation). People magazine writes:

The actress was spotted at an American Red Cross blood services facility in an L.A. suburb Monday. Arriving at noon, she was greeted by staff in the parking lot before walking into the building. When she left the facility around 7 p.m., she carried a book sparsely titled BLOOD. (Source)

So basically her sentence for fleeing the scene of an accident, cocaine possession, DUI, carjacking, DUI again, cocaine possession again, and driving with a suspended license is posing for photos and passing out cookies to people who just donated blood. God I hope Osama Bin Laden isn't tried in LA when finally catch him. I can already see the headline: "In lieu of a horrible, torturous death, Bin Laden sentenced by LA judge to 45 hours of trash pickup on the side of the 405."
