Michelle Rodriguez sentenced to six months in jail

ichelle Rodriguez (Lost, The Fast and the Furious) was sentenced to six months in jail on Wednesday for violating the terms of her probation stemming from 2004 drunk driving charges. This is her second such violation in a little over a year--in May 2006 the actress was sentenced to 60 days but released 59.75 days early because of overcrowding. Reuters says:

A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge ordered the former "Lost" actress to jail after she admitted failing to complete community service obligations contrary to a signed document stating otherwise, city attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan said. She must start her term by Christmas Eve.

Rodriguez, 29, was also found to have consumed alcohol on at least three occasions while wearing a monitoring bracelet around her ankle, in violation of a probation requirement she refrain from drinking for 90 days, Mateljan said. In the latest case, Judge Daviann Mitchell ordered that Rodriguez not be granted work furlough, early release or home confinement. She was also ordered to complete her 30 days of service for the state transportation department. (Source)

Is this really a punishment? You mean to tell me that "confirmed bachelorette" Michelle Rodriguez will be forced to live/eat/shower with hundreds of burley women for the next six months without the benefit of shaving her legs, armpits or mustache? This isn't disciplinary action for her--it's Disneyland! I'm surprised Rosie O'Donnell isn't out holding up a liquor store right now with Ellen DeGeneres waiting in the getaway car.
