Britney Spears mug shot coming soon!

Britney Spears turned herself in last night to be booked for misdemeanor charges of hit and run and driving without a license. At approximately 9:25 last night Spears walked into L.A.'s Van Nuys County jail wearing a black mini dress with a black leather jacket, was photographed and fingerprinted, and then released. LAPD officer Mike Lopez says:

"She was cooperative during the arrest and was not handcuffed. She went into the Van Nuys jail to turn herself in for a court ordered booking, which is normal practice for any misdemeanor. She was in for 20 to 25 minutes, fingerprinted and photographed and then she was released after completing the necessary paperwork."

Of course I'll keep my eye out for the mug shot and post that as soon as I find it. I wonder if Britney will opt for the classic "head slightly bent to her left" look Lindsay Lohan popularized back in July. Or maybe she'll go for Paris Hilton's "head slightly bent to her right" pose. Of course she could always throw a curve ball like Nicole Richie and straighten her head, tilt her chin down and look up at the camera. Such a trendsetter that girl!
