As soon as filming wraps on her latest movie, Repo! The Genetic Opera!, Paris Hilton is planning a humanitarian trip to Rwanda. Hilton told E! Online:
"I'll be going in November, after I get back from filming my movie. There's so much need in that area, and I feel like if I go, it will bring more attention to what people can do to help. I want to visit more countries where poverty and children's issues are a big concern. I know there's a lot of good I can do just by getting involved and bringing attention to these issues." (Source)
First genocide and now this--who did Rwanda piss off? And why Rwanda anyways? I hear Somalia is beautiful this time of year. "Somalia . . . come for the beautiful weather, stay because some insane tribal warlord just hacked your legs off with a rusty machete and now you can't walk." - Somali Tourism Board, 2007
More pics of Paris Hilton at La Guardia airport yesterday after the jump...

The real reason for her trip....
She wants to be among those who have contracted more disease than she has.... it helps balance her out. But seriously...does anyone REALLY believe she gives a flying f*** about what goes on in Rwanda?
Americans pour billions of dollars into foreign aid through taxation and charitable contribution. Far more than any country on the planet....
Number of thank you's? Nil.... Number of newpaper write ups..... Zip......number of United Nations Kudos? Not happenin'....
The US has by far the most active population of missions and charity workers out in the field.... teaching Rwandans how to tell drinkable water apart from toilet water.... dirty, nasty work.... Lots of thanks coming our way? Never......
Paris' PR stunt is no bargain.... If she wants to help.... why doesn't she put her money into the problem instead of "drawing attention" so that everyone else picks up the slack as usual....
Those poor souls have gone through so much. Will it ever end? Is she taking the pretty boy?
does she even know how to spell Rwanda?
Hopefully someone kills her down there.
