Looks like Angelie Jolie and Brad Pitt are putting down roots in New York City. Their oldest son, Maddox, started school this week at the $18,000/year Lycee Francais de New York on the Upper East Side. The New York Post reports:
[Maddox's] movie-star parents showed up at the East 75th Street campus - an $18,000-a-year private school where lessons are taught in French - on Tuesday for their oldest child's first day, a source told The Post's Jennifer Fermino. "They were just like normal parents," said the snitch. Except better-looking, of course. (Source)
Holy shit $18,000 a year?!? Just send the kid to PS 158. If Maddox can survive roaming Cambodian death squads, he can certainly survive public school. The trick is you have to knife somebody the first day or become someone's bitch. It's a lot like prison.
I work for a private school and the amount for the high school is $18,900.00 per year. The lower school is $14,600.00. Doesn't suprise me at all.
Too bad they won't be there very long, I give it a month, two tops...
So they'll shell out 18k a year for school but they can't drop 50 bucks for a new pair of shoes for the kid? I saw Shiloh sportin a brand new pair in a magazine the other day...I guess it's true, they DO love her more!
Why is Maddox wearing skorts?
Wearing that outfit and speaking only in French, the Jolie-Pitts should consider hiring additional security guards since they are turning Maddox into bully fodder.
My kid went to French school for 2 years. $17,000 a year.
It's pretty standard. Even preschool is $250/week..so that's 12,000 a year for your 3 year old! The whole thing is ridiculous.

Too bad they didn't choose Trinity on the upper west side because he would get a better foundation and would feel quite at home there.
