Britney Spears owns iTunes

Britney Spears new single "Gimme More" hit number one on iTunes yesterday. No, seriously, Britney Spears new single "Gimme More" hit number one on iTunes yesterday. And she has the number one ringtone, too. What does this bitch have to do to destroy her career?!? Because according to what's happening on iTunes, Britney could pull a Charles Manson and tattoo a swastika on her forehead and her fans would heap praise on her for "being different" and "not caring about what society thinks." If you'll excuse me, I have to go drink a gallon a Drano.

Britney Spears tops iTunes charts

It might be number 1 on iTunies , but I think people bought it for the same reason they slow down to look at car accidents. Too find out how bad it really is.

I won't listen to it, however I don't think it will be "bad".

Sound engineers can do amazing things now with recordings that can compensate for almost anything.

If the singer is off-pich, the vocals can be digitally altered to pitch without speeding up or slowing down the vocal track.

If the singer is out of time, that Is an extremely easy fix...as easy is clicking the space or delete buttons on your keyboard.

Add in the real professionals i.e. the band and talented backup singers, and you can just about manufacture a complete song almost regardless of the lead singer's talent.

I'd lay odds the sound engineer really earned his keep on this one...

I bet Kanye's pissed! How long 'til he announces that he's boycotting iTunes too?

so even hitler has fans

Maybe, just... myabe, people actually night like the song? Maybe people should also get on with their own lives instead of watching others? Makes sense....

We've all heard the recordings and it is obvious that she didn't have any pros working on this project. I have some old Alvin and the Chipmunks recordings that sound better. It's almost like they purposely distorted her voice-over to make her sound bad. And this is the best track on her CD so it will all die fast once the Britards have spent all their money.

People have been known to like shit. Like P.T. Barnum said, shit can be marketable if properly advertised and colorfuly wrapped. Odd thing is, there isn't anything remotely attractive about Shitney now. She's all used up, flabby and disgusting, and she've never had any talent whatsoever that could avail her on stage. Why does people still feast on shit?
