Lindsay Lohan has finally been booked on DUI charges stemming from her early morning crash in late May. Accompanied by her attorney, the starlet quietly turned herself in to Beverly Hills police Thursday afternoon. In addition to a charge of driving with a blood alcohol level greater than .08, Lohan was also charged with misdemeanor hit and run. People magazine reports:

Lohan, 21, arrived at the station at 4:15 p.m. and was released on $30,000 bail about an hour later, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Web site. She was accompanied by her attorney, police say. Lohan was booked now because she was only cited – but not formally arrested – at the time of the incident due to her injuries. A court date was set for Aug. 24 in Superior Court in Beverly Hills. (Source)

Am I the only one here who thinks people are getting a little too carried away with all this? So Lindsay had a bit too much to drink. Wow, welcome to my Friday and Saturday nights* for the past ten years. If getting loaded on booze and coke, smashing your car into a tree, and then fleeing on foot is wrong, then dammit, I don't want to be right.
