This is awesome, man!!! There's no way in hell she'll be actually incarcerated, but it's nice to see this ugly bitch smacked out of her stupid, useless existence, at least for a few hous in court, just for this once. That judge it's the man.

I do think she will serve the time. She blantantly broke the rules of her probation and she is not above the law. This ruling has been made by a judge, not a jury. He flat out said that the smoking gun was the signed warning that she received in January and it was in her glove box at the time of the latest arrest. She once called herself America's Princess. I do think she thought that she could get away with anything. I am pleased!

...plus she could actually get 90 days, but the prosecution only went for 45.

I'm glad that she got the 45 days. I think Kathy Hilton should have been slapped with contempt and given 30 days when she asked the judge for his autograph after he made the ruling.

Michael T. Sauer deserves to have his salary tripled. It's about time that someone finally made her play by the same rules we all have to live by. The regular people, (who Paris tends to laugh at) just scored a minor victory. I can only hope that some animal in prison makes Paris eat out a pussy nastier than her own. Here in Texas, she would have been TAKEN from the courtroom directly to jail. I don't think you can appeal a case that was not heard in front of a jury. How many people are sitting in jail, "waiting for their appeal" to go through?

If it can be appealed, I suspect the judge made an example of her, knowing that in the next 30 days, her attorney will be able to reduce the sentance.

I for one am ecstatic that Paris Hilton is going to jail! I commend the judge and praise him for doing his job and not letting fame and power control him. He is a man with honor and conviction, he has not been swade by the money and power of the Hilton clan and I wish him the best! Please show your support and send as many letters to Judge Michael T. You'd think with all of their money they could get a better act than Barry Manilow at the Vegas Hilton. Other than the Star Trek exhibit, it's the suckiest hotel there. Even Paris won't stay there.

Anyone who thinks Paris doesnt deserve jail time is living in a dream world. I almost pissed my pants from joy when I found out she was sentenced to jail time and actually think 45 days is getting off easy. I am SICK of rich and famous people getting away with doing whatever the F they want and not being held to the same laws and standards as the rest of society. I know if I had been driving with a suspended license AFTER having a DUI my ass would be rotting in jail and there wouldnt be such a stink over it by anyone outsied of my immediate family. I am so mad that this new judge let her out. I have heard all the BS about the system. I guess he Never lost a loved one to a DWI. In my opinion if you can't put away murder's and rapist's then you should leave her alone!!! If every business refused him (Judge Michael T. Sauer) witch is their right, then maybe he'd wake up and put actual criminals behind bars instead of going on a powr trip!!! I think he should be fired. Work release or home restriction is all that is needed in this case. If you can't put real criminals behind bars then you are truely a waste of tax dollars at work. I feel victimized by his waste of my money. Get drug dealers, get murders, get rapists, leave the rest to other forms of detention. Our jails are over crowded as it is. Put the truely dangerous ones behind bars!! Not the ones that who aren't. Fire him!!!!! Quit wasting my money!!!

After reading the circumstances in the Paris Hilton case, I am angered, appalled, and totally convinced of three points: the case is getting too much news coverage, and I agree with your decisions.

The third item totally disturbs, displeases, and disappoints me—the flagrant contravention of the law by county Sheriff Lee Baca who did unauthorized and criminal actions against you, your court, the United States Judicial System, and the Constitution of the United States.

I feel, as any lawbreaker, Sheriff Baca should be arrested and charged, with obstruction of justice and contempt of court, or at least reprimanded and demoted.

No one is above the law, especially those whom enforce, not change the law.

I extend my support to you and your court.

Fire the Judge!!! Same on you! You disgust me to the point of total nausea. Violent offenders belong behind bars. Not non-violent offenders. Put her to work picking up trash on the road-side, made her clean bed pans in nursing homes, or put her under house arrest. When my uncle was younger, he aquired 4 DWIs, had a public defender (he wasn't rich) and never spent one day in jail. If OJ, a murder, can walk free, why can't she? If a pedafile like Michael Jackson can go free, why can't she? Make her wash out ambulances, or go through traffic school. Don't waste my tax money on such BS. Fire that sorry SOB!!!! He is not doing his job. If she dies in there, it will be all his fault. In fact, as an attorney, I totally believe that the Hilton's should file suit against the judge for putting her life in grave danger. Let's do the math. Committed June 3rd. Potential release date June 25th. THAT DOES NOT SEEM LIKE A 45-DAY SENTENCE!!! I'd quadruple the judges salary if he stuck her in central holding. Paris is the in your face kind of girl. She may be a nice girl to others. But, her actions speak louder than words. No respect to our laws! Doesn't help or pitch in to society! Is not a good role model for younger girls, teens, ...etc. I am such a strong believer in karma. What you put out in this world, typically will come back to you tenfold! It certainly has. People bring on their own troubles to themselves. You can only say poor me for so long and then view how pathetic, psychologically messed up PARIS really is. I applaud Judge Sauter. I wish I could have been in the courtroom to actually stand up and cheer his decision. Her ignorant rude mother should have been slapped, both with the prosecutor's hand, and a contempt charge. I hope Paris suffers horribly in prison, and we get to see just how ugly she is when she leaves. Hopefully she will screw up again and get some real time! You rock, Judge!!
