I have some thoughts on Avril Lavigne. She confuses me a bit though. She's like, a grown up, and Ford model, and a married woman. She's not some scary little "look-at-meeeeeeeee" goth high school kid. Except, apparently she is. Did anyone see her on SNL this week? Bad bad bad. I highly recommend illegally downloading her unreleased work, or any like, non-studio pre-money songs, because her voice is truly amazing, and quite powerful. There's a depth that one wouldn't expect from such a little person. However, her management team is determined to convince the world that she's a 15 year old with no sense of time, place, occaision, pitch or trend. Her new CD is going to be trash, and I'm bummed, because I was so hoping that a little maturity, and some independent means on her part would permit her to actually sing instead of shitting this crap out her mouth. God Avril, black is in, (celebrate) and pink in your hair, is definately out.

Well said, J. Golightly. Avril risks alienating the fanbase she already established if she continues to cater to youngsters, since the youngsters who bought her first album are now, presumably, college students. Grow up, Avril - your fans already have!
