A role model is a person that gives back to humanity through charitable works and try to live a life that is positive and uplifting. Oprah, Bono, Cris Tucker, Jolie, the lists goes on and on. They are closer to a role model.

But can someone please tell Jennifer to look at her movie choices a little deeper. She won't play in a movie that has nudity, even though it's not her. But, will play the role of Effie, her character had pre-marital sex with Curtis. She was bossy and rude , and outlandish, all traits of a woman that are unredeemable, so how is that any different than being in a film with nudity in it. If she's going to be judgemental about Hollywood, than she won't get far, especially picking apart every little thing. Now, maybe she's trying to be like Sydney Poitier, and bring morality to her projects, but she should have done that with Dreamgirls.

Jennifer Hudson is definitely a role model...(Bohwe) you can not say someone is not a role model, you don't know who she has impacted! She has effected many people, Idol Contestants, little girls with big dreams, adults and I SURE she impacted many plus size women and is a role model for them. So what if she does not want to be involved in a movie with nudity? Why do we have to label her as being ungrateful or some kind of a diva? She is recording an album right now and might not have the time...plus she is already working on a movie.

I hate to disappoint everyone. But Jennifer Hudson is not talented. She cannot sing or act. She needs to get a college degree and get a real job. i find it refreshing someone would turn down a role becuse of the content of the movie, i.e...nudity. seems most of the woman in movies these days all take it off. less and less separates porn flicks from the what we see halle berry or alyssa milano in. but if jen wants to make a statement, as said by another poster, stop wearing the low cut tops showing most all of the goodies. seems a bit hypocritical to me.
