Don't count on catching Ben Affleck's brother, Casey, on television anytime soon. A commercial Affleck was set to star in for the animal right's group PETA has been banned because of graphic content by channels such as MTV, E!, the Food Network, and the TV Guide Channel. The commercial features images of factory farms and slaughterhouses flashing across the screen while Casey says:
"When people ask me why I don't eat meat or any other animal products, I say, 'Because they're unhealthy, and they're the product of a violent and inhumane industry,'"The only place that PETA could find to air the ad: its Web site, PETA.org.

It's too bad that PETA can't tone down its campaigns for use in the mass media. That's a waste. Also, I'd have to take issue with your Carlin/Gallagher quote because if God wanted you to eat animals, he would've given you real carnivore teeth to cut through the skin of your prey as well legs and claws worthy of trapping them. You would also have to prefer to eat it completely raw as opposed to cooking it and dressing it up with spices and barbecue sauce.

I'm quite sure when Carlin/Gallagher told that joke they/he meant it as the that the animal is "whole" and then "poof" it's served up on a platter. Cutting out all the in between gutting, skinning, deboning etc...

I will only eat meat that has been ripped off chickens while still alive. As far as beef goes, I insist that the animal gets it's eyes poked before it gets put through the grinder, steaks come out so much better prepared when you torture it before brutilizing it. I wear leather jackets made of siberian tiger hides and I have a baby seal trophy on my wall with a tire iron still stuck in it's cranium. If I could find a blue whale, I'd stick dynamite in it's blowhole. It doesn't make me a good guy or a bad guy, it just is what it is.

The standards in Hollywood are pretty screwed up. You can snort cocaine on Rodeo Drive and sleep with a lot of people without any concern about hurting other people, but you can't eat meat. They are so lost. PETA is full of hypocrites. Never get my support
