It's still a mystery as to why exactly Britney Spears shaved her head last Friday night. Of course wild theories are being bandied about across the internets. I've heard everything from Britney being devastated because she was raped while in New York to her just wanting to show solidarity with cancer victims (Spears' aunt recently died of cancer). Found a few new ones today. According to OK! Magazine, Kevin Federline may have been the catalyst behind Spears' shocking move--specifically his threat that he would drug test her (Kevin wants full custody of the couple's two children and a positive test would no doubt help his cause). K-Fed got into it with Britney after she returned from her grueling 1 day stay in rehab. According to OK!'s Rob Shuter:

"Kevin threatened Britney that he was going to have people test her hair to find out exactly what she's been up to. She was so scared. That was what made her have her head shaved." (Source)

The Daily Mirror came out with a report today claiming that Britney shaved her head because of a lice infestation (BTW I said the same thing Saturday morning). While leaving the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles right before the incident, Britney was overheard complaining about how "horrible" her lice was and that they "totally freaked her out." According to a source close to Britney:

"She thought lice were eating her hair extensions, so she decided to get rid of them as soon as possible." (Source)

What about the obvious third option: the voices in her head told her to do it. Let me tell you something, those voices can be pretty persuasive. When I was younger, I used to get in trouble all the time because they told me to not do my homework. Now they tell me to burn things and hurt small animals. What a bunch of pranksters!
