In Touch Weekly is claiming that Britney Spears may be the latest Hollywood star to join the pill-popping bandwagon (Lindsay Lohan just hopped on!). On November 27, while in the restroom at the West Hollywood restaurant Dan Tana's, Spears opened her purse revealing a large amount of prescription medication. One eyewitness claimed:
"It looked like a pharmacy in there. I have never seen so many pills."According to the witness, the bounty of pharmaceuticals included the anti-depressant, Paxil, and the anti-anxiety medication, Xanax, which Spears openly popped in front of bystanders. Later the same evening she was photographed walking to her car with a wine glass in hand and getting behind the wheel to drive. In Touch is also reporting that rumors of illicit drug use are being flared by her spending an unusual amount of time in the bathrooms of clubs and after-hour parties lately.
This chick is a damn trainwreck. The last month of Britney's life basically mirrors the last few years of The Jerry Springer Show. There's been panty flashing, heavy drinking, a divorce, an intervention, and now accusations of drug abuse. I half expect the paparazzi to start yelling "Brit-neyyy Brit-neyyy Brit-neyyy" the next time she goes partying followed by Britney giving us her drunken "final thought" at the end of the night. Christ, the 1997 version of Courtney Love thinks Britney should settle down.
Divorce is not easy on anyone. Especially in the spotlight and with two children and everybody breathing down your back about you. Everybody has depression/stress going through something traumatic. Personally I would take pills that would cause amnesia so I could forget that bastard K.... something or other but if this is true, I am not judgemental having seen others in her situation handling it alot worse. At least what she takes is LEGAL, if she tkaes it at all. If it isnt true, well all the better.

Check the bulletin board at your trailer park, as I am sure it will have many Britney Spears based support groups and references. In the meantime, I strongly suggest you consult your parole officer on the ramifications of a purse full of "legal" pills.

It's a shame she's wasting a great career by using antidepressants and going down the road of self destruction. It mirrors that of Mike Tyson. He could have been the greatest heavyweight ever, and now he's nothing more than a carnival act. I guess the same could be said for O.J. Simpsom, Phil Spector, Jeff Reardon and many others. Why do you think they call it "dope?"
