20-year-old Lindsay Lohan was seen yesterday morning at an A.A. meeting in Los Angeles, about a month after she was photographed wearing an A.A. 'chip' (Lindsay claimed she was only wearing it to support a friend). Another friend of Lohan's believes she is very serious about getting sober:

"She has attended several meetings and has hopefully decided to turn her life around - this time for good. She is out of control." Lohan skipped Thanksgiving with her mom, Dina, and her family because she knew "someone would force an intervention on her." So Dina - who likes a party almost as much as her wild-child daughter - has arrived in L.A. to convince Lindsay to stay home some nights. "she will really get serious about getting sober. And drop out of the limelight for a while." A rep for Lohan declined comment.

Sounds like Lindsay is well on her way to recovery. I especially like that part where she skipped Thanksgiving because she was worried her family members might bring up her drinking problem--not to humiliate her but to help her. I've never been to A.A. but I can guarantee you the first step of the 12 step program isn't "shun family members attempting to help you." Lindsay will probably end her treatment owing A.A. two steps. They'll just hand her a bill on her way out the door.
