Rev. Jesse Jackson is urging the public to boycott the seventh season DVD of "Seinfeld," which features uber-racist Michael Richards as Jerry Seinfeld's next door neighbor. Following Richards anti-black rant at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles, the DVD experienced a spike in sales. I don't really understand this boycott considering Jesse Jackson's primary audience is black people. Last time I checked, black people never watched Seinfeld (might have something to do with the fact that, during the entire series run, I don't think a black person ever had a speaking role). This is equivalent to Pat Robertson urging white guys to boycott Moesha.

Wait a minute! I thought Michael Richards went on Jesse's radio show and apologized! Did he not apologize correctly? Or is Jesse upset that this recent DVD collection of Seinfeld episodes is outselling previous seasons, perhaps as a result of the Kramer controversy?

This is like rubbing salt and alcohol into wounds, far from being civilized or in any way promoting progress or advancement. What does it do, beyond dramatization? It tells people to be bitter, remain bitter, act the victim and downtrodden, and to hate back... and I thought their whole desire was to 'free the country' of hate? I love seinfeld, my mom loves seinfeld, almost everyone i knew loved seinfeld. Im not saying im suprised its just nice to have it out in the open, what people really feel about black people. Its sad when you think about it, when i saw the clip of him yelling thoses comments i immediatly thought of my mom, and how kramer was her favourite charater. I do think he sorry and i dont think this needs to be a black and white issue so stop making it that way.
