In Cameron Diaz's newest film, The Holiday, she plays an American woman who moves to England for the holidays to help deal with a bad break-up (I already checked, tickets aren't on sale yet). While in England promoting the film, Diaz became a little confused by the UK press and their funny phrases:
She explains, "It's a 'rom-com' as they call it in England. I don't know why they like to abbreviate, but they do. They say 'rom-com' and I'm like, 'What are you talking about?' What's a rom com?' The 'blonde' came out. It's like there was an attack: 'We're going to Rom Com four!' Once I got it clear I was able to sell the movie!"
Cameron, I know you're trying to be funny and all but leave the jokes to those of us that have a sense of humor. Anyways, shouldn't you be busy working on clearing up your complexion? Or helping save the rain forest or driving hybrid cars or whatever the hell you celebrities do when you get bored. What do I do when I get bored, you ask? That's what fire is for silly!

The British are so much better than we are here in the United States.
